The newly built Landhaus Silbermond is a luxurious estate on the peninsula of Dars which is well-known for its seaside resorts. The villa is imbedded in a parc of 2800 sqm. It is almost invisible from the surrounding houses, and in the middle of the garden lies a natural pond with its own runway. The country house, which is typical for the region, was built in the year 2000 as a timbered house with a thatched roof. It combines the charm of a traditional Captain's House with enjoyable comfort and a modern technical equipment. In the salon, there is a large LCD TV with a Bose- surround-system. Several further hi-fi-systems and TVs are at the disposal of the guests, as well as WLAN. Furthermore, the house is equipped with a modern ISDN-telephone-installation.

The Baltic Sea area is in the north, the 340 km long coast lies in both a straight and sinuous line, with attractive islands, dotted by numerous well sheltered bathing resorts. Abrupt cliffs of more than 120 m high interrupt the miles of beaches and marshland. The four large Hanseatic cities are also in this region. The plateau Mecklenburg-Seeplatten, is sprinkled with almost 1800 lakes, often connected by natural and artificial canals as well as wooded hills and miles of heather and pine.
