There are 2 sections to rent which may be rented separately or together which is ideal for gatherings of friends and family when you want to be together but afforded your own space (the sections are independent of one another). The spacious first floor section has 3 bedrooms and sleeps 7+3 (max 10) and the newly created easy access ground floor section has 2 bedrooms sleeping 4+2 (max 6) for a total of 11+5 (max 16) when rented together. The property is furnished and decorated to a high standard and provides extremely well equipped accommodation - please see our guest book for testimonials. The property was recommended in the Sunday Times Travel Magazine by Dana Facaros, author of the Cadogan Guide to Tuscany, in June 2007.
The property has a beautiful new in-ground swimming pool (construction due February 2008) which is a salt-water pool which creates sparkling, soft water and leaving the skin soft and the swimmer refreshed after a dip in the pool. La Gattaiola is just 5 minutes from Lucca city centre (7 minutes or so on bike!) and to the nearest supermarket, wine shops and other small local food shops. It is also only 5 minutes from the nearest motorway exit making it ideal for day trips to the coast or to the art cities of Tuscany (beach 30 mins, Florence 45 mins, Pisa 20 mins). The nearest airport is at Pisa just 20 mins away or at Florence 45
