La Rivolte is a beautiful Belle Epoque villa built in 1883. It is situated in a quiet residential area of the town of Grasse, known as the world capital of perfume. The villa is available to rent as a whole, week by week, during the summer months but we also offer accommodation on a Bed & Breakfast basis from October to May. The villa has 8 provencal bedrooms, most with sea views. There are 6 ensuite bedrooms and 2 extra shower rooms for the two smaller twin bedrooms. There are 2 salons, one with satellite TV, piano, X-Box games console and DVD player as well as a large DVD library. The other salon has a library of guidebooks, maps and novels. Both salons have beautiful Moroccan fireplaces. The large kitchen/dining room has an open fireplace with rotisserie and opens directly onto the large terrace with several tables and chairs for al fresco dining and a gas barbecue. The terrace overlooks the heated swimming pool below and has spectacular panoramic views over the old town and cathedral of Grasse as well as the Bay of Cannes and the Mediterranean. The villa is set in 5 acres of Mediterranean gardens with ancient olive groves, palms, pines, wisteria, cypress trees, lemon and orange trees and grape vines. All local amenities are just a 5 minute walk away. La Rivolte is just a 25 minute drive to Nice Cote d'Azur airport and is the perfect base from which to explore the Cote d'Azur. Famous towns such as St. Tropez, Antibes, Cannes, Monaco/Monte Carlo, St. Paul de Vence and Menton are all just a short drive away.
