Wickford is a thriving fishing and commercial village immersed in history. Enjoy exploring Wickford's historic homes, churches, gardens and picturesque harbor during the summer, strolling during the Christmas holiday season, savoring the sights and smells of spring. This Historic Cape started out in the early 1800s as the workshop of generations of the McKenzie family, Boatwrights and merchants. Later, it was used as a carriage house. In the 1950's it became the studio and gallery of artist Robert MacMeehan. It was here that the Wickford Art Festival was conceived in 1961.
The home has been newly transformed into a luxurious, charming residence, providing a mix of antiques, artwork and Persian rugs with comfort and a state of the art kitchen.
