This rustic 2 bedroom Cottage is on a 5 mi long island and overlooks Desolation Sound.There is a 40ft. deck where you can BBQ, relax,take in the fabulous view of the ocean while watching the awesome sunsets. The main floor features : master bedrm.with a 4 pce semi ensuite;a bright living rm.with a fabulous view, skylights,a river rock fireplace plus a queen size pullout sofa bed;the panoramic view continues as you enter the kitchen. The main floor has newly installed laminate flooring in the living room & kitchen & tile in the bathroom. Upstair you will discover a large bedroom with a double & single bed with your own private deck and a library full of books. There is no electricity on the island so we use a battery & generator system as well as propane for the fridge, stove & hot water tank. We have our own well, which has been tested, for our water supply and needs to be pumped up daily. At the rear of the Cottage off the living room there is a 20X20 ft. deck where you can sit and soak up the morning sun in total privacy.

The beach in front of the cottage is one of the best spots to pick up oysters or dig for clams at low tide. You can walk for miles on the beautiful sandy beaches or tour the island on bikes which are at the cottage to use if you wish at your own risk. The trail to the beach is about a 1/4 Blk. walk. This is truly one of the most relaxing vacations you could ever hope to have. All you have to bring is your food, clothing,towels & bedding (sheets & pillow cases only)and enjoy. All this is just a 6 hour relaxing trip north from Vancovuer, B.C. up the Sunshine Coast. It is a 140 km senic drive, 2 ferries (one fare each way) with a water taxi at the end of Hwy.101 to take you across from Lund to this gorgeous island, which some people call Hawaii or the North. The Cottage is avail. June 21st-Aug.30th and rents for $1300 a week.
