It is about 100 steps to the boardwalks on the beach. At night while sitting on the deck gazing at the stars, you can hear the waves. This is a truly relaxing vacation.
This townhouse has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. On the first floor is the kitchen, dining area, living room (sleeper couch), bathroom and the bunk (one is full size) bedroom. This story has all tile floors. The main deck is off the living room. The whole second story is the master bedroom (with king size bed),walk-in closet,bathroom(double basins,separate oversized tub and shower)and laundry room. This arrangement with an oversized master bedroom gives you privacy and a feeling of luxury. Each bedroom has a balcony off of it with a view of the gulf. There is an outside shower to rinse off with. The unit has 1216 sq ft of air conditioned space.
Barrier Dunes is a gated community with boardwalks connecting you to the beach and other areas. Barrier Dunes sits right next door to St Joe State Park (2500 acres), which has boat ramps. In 2002, Dr. Beach ranked it the #1 beach in the United States. There are no high rises on Cape San Blas, giving you uncrowded beaches and no traffic jams on the roads and the one 2 lane road. The beaches are sugar white sand, perfect to take long walk on, picking up shells as you go. This is an undiscovered gem on the forgotten coast of "Old Florida". Cape San Blas is 20 miles long (with St Joe State Park being 10 miles)
Barrier Dunes is very pet friendly. Dogs are allowed on the beach and the community has pet stations thru out
