Restored and modernised, the house is in a quiet village and makes a comfortable base from which to explore the beautiful Vendee. The house, awarded 3 epis and 4 stars for comfort and charm, is situated in the quiet village of St Michel le Cloucq, 5 kms from Fontenay le Comte, 50 kms from La Rochelle and the beaches of the Atlantic.

Located between the Marais Poitevin known as the Green Venice and the forest, not far from La Rochelle, our gite, very comfortable for 6 persons (4 adults and 2 children), is located in the peaceful setting of a small south Vendée Hamlet. The ideal base for exploring and enjoying the Vendee Region.

A rustic cottage fully restored to its original appearance, with exposed stone walls, wooden beams and wooden floor and tiled ground floor. It is furnished with antique French country style comfortable furniture.

Ground floor : a large living room with a fireplace, a fully fitted modern kitchen, bathroom and separate WC. Utility room. One double bedroom with en suite shower room. (bed 1.60 mt wide)
Upstairs : a double bedroom with one 1.40 mt wide bed, one mezzanine bedroom with two single beds, each 1.20 mt wide.

Facilities Included:
Chimney, TV, videorecorder/player, DVD player, telephone, mini hi-fi, games, books and video cassettes. Dishwasher, microwaves oven, full oven, washing machine, deep freezer.

To enhance comfort for a restful and enjoyable stay, there are a 500 square meters private garden, a stone patio with garden furniture, a large outdoor roofed dining area with rustic furniture and a purpose built chimney-barbecue. 2 mountain bicycles for adults and 3 for children are available free of charge. Bathroom towels, house linen, and bed linen is provided, the beds are made prior to arrival.
