This historical cottage is featured as one Sunshine Coast's last remaining Union Steamship Cottage's on the Ocean, Cottage #8. This unique setting is in the heart of downtown Sechelts Oceanfront, walking distance to all amenities, such as pubs, restraurants, shopping, bus stops, seawall walk, sporting shops and rentals for kayaks, scuba diving, and fishing.
The cottage offers a stunning coastal view of the Trail Bay and the surrounding Islands, from the quaint old fashioned front porch. It is fully equipped to accomodate your stay with lovely linens, towels, kitchen needs, and a T.V. with DVD in the living room, and a T.V. in each bedroom. Fire restrictions permitting, you can enjoy a bon fire on the beach just above the high tide line, or fish from shore, or the pier on our beach. A crab trap is provided to our guests along with life jackets of various sizes.
Swimming and beachcombing are definite highlights. A picnic table is provided on the greenbelt, infront of the cottage, for morning coffee's or sunset dinners. Summer features sea life watching, and Bald Eagle Watching, while the winters provide storm watches and sea life activity. With a large diverse variety of activities within our region and coastline, please feel free to inquire about customizing your visit to be outfitted for our mountain trails, fitness programs, kayaking, scuba diving, touring by air, land or sea, horseback riding, fishing, and at the end of the day a spa package to suit your needs. We have a large sea plane port, with daily flights to Vancouver Island, and Vancouver. Your sailboat or pleasure boat can be moored off shore at the cottage. A boat ramp is located near the entrance of the Village of Sechelt, minutes from the cottage. We have a staff that will work with you for Speical Events, such as Weddings, anniversarys, honeymoon and other events. This location is suitable for wheelchair mobility, and is pet friendly.
