As is much of Canada, Muskoka Region in Ontario is untouched by human exploitation. Go hiking, swimming, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, ice fishing, or sailing on a lake as you enjoy a magnificent sunset.

The Algonquin Provincial Park is 1.2 million acres of park, with adventure screaming from every corner. The park is all about lakes, as there are literally thousands of them! But that doesn't imply you don't have rocky ridges and maple forests. Trails welcome you both on land and water. The Minnesing Trail would attract mountain bikers. The trail consists of  four separate loops ranging from 4.7 to 25 kilometers in length. The Peck Lake Trail surrounds the shores of Peck Lake. The Hemlock Bluff Trail has incredible views of Jack Lake. Coming back to water theme, there are 2100 kilometers of watery trails through the many lakes. No wonder then, that canoeing is one of the most popular ways to experience the park. Snowshoeing and cross-country skiing are popular pastimes in the winter.

The Georgian Bay National Park in Honey Harbor was established in 1929. With over 15 square miles of terrain and waters  encompassing Lake Huron's Thirty Thousand Islands, raw outdoor action awaits you. The area immediately calls to mind anglers fishing for bass and pike in Honey Harbor. The bays, channels, and inlets of Georgian Bay welcome canoeing and kayaking fans. There are 11 different hiking trails ranging from ½ mile walks to strenuous 5 mile treks. 58 islands fill up the park.

Golfing enthusiasts can tee it up at Muskoka Region. The Muskoka Golf Trail leads you to six high quality golf courses. Grandview Golf Club in Huntsville has been designed by Master's champion Mark O'Meara. Elevation changes, rocky terrain, and marshland areas, provide you a strong test of golfing skills. Golf legend Nick Faldo had his first attempt in designing a golf course in Canada with The Rock. It's a meticulously manicured course, surrounded by dense woodland forests, reminding one of the golden era in course design.
