About Rum Point

The moment you hear the name “Rum Point”, you know it's been named after an event in history or legend. That's right, there's indeed the legend of a shipwreck here, that resulted in barrels of rum washing ashore. Rum Point is a quiet little place, quite unlike the populated areas of Grand Cayman. This remote tropical Grand Cayman paradise hasn't many tourist destinations, but it's a great starting  point to explore the Grand Cayman. Rum Point Beach is also a great snorkeling destination. Restaurants and resorts are nearby that offer a treat of local cuisine, though food is prevented on the beach itself. The sunset though, is the thing to watch and photograph at Sunset Beach.
