About Vacation Rentals in Cancun

This Caribbean Island Vacation Destination is separated from mainland Mexico by two bridges. Archeology and adventure combine in Cancun, in the form of activities such as snorkeling, water skiing, swimming, deep-sea fishing, scuba diving, and bargain hunting. The many beaches in and around Cancun offer plenty of water sports activities.

Some of the designated public beaches along the strand are Playa Tortuga (Turtle Beach), Playa Langosta (Lobster Beach), Playa Linda (Pretty Beach), and Playa Las Perlas (Beach of the Pearls). These beaches offer parasailing, windsurfing, jet skiing, under the Caribbean sun for the guests of Cancun Vacation Homes. The end of the Cancun island facing the Bahia de Mujeres (Bay of Women) has calmer waters for 'mild' activities such as swimming and snorkeling.

Cancun is also a haven for scuba divers who come from all over the world to Cancun's shallow reef, clear water, and plentiful ocean life that make for exciting dive excursions. The northern tip of the Great Meso-American Reef (the largest reef in the western hemisphere) is called Punta Nizuc. Drift divers visit various points along the reef like the Cave of the Sleeping Sharks.

Ten miles off the coast of Cancun is the curiously named Isla Mujeres (Island of Women), a land of archaeological vestiges. The Caribbean Coast of Mexico also plays host to golfing action. Pok Ta Pok is a links golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr.
