About Vacation Rentals in Wine Country

The Wine Country of California consists of the Napa Valley and the Sonoma Valley. The Napa Valley consists of some 240 wineries. The Valley is the epitome of architectural elegance with varying styles that range from Victorian Gothic to Old West frontier. The Sonoma Valley, which is to the west of the Napa Valley, looks more rustic with its adobe homes and historic buildings reflecting the Spanish roots of the Valley.

The best medium of exploring the Wine Country is the Napa Valley Wine Train. The Napa Valley Wine Train starts in downtown Napa, winds its way through the valley, and travels past some of the famous wineries on a 36-mile trip to scenic St. Helena. The town of Calistoga in the Wine Country can offer you some pampered relaxation, because it features some of the best day spas around. The Old Faithful Geyser is where the tourists absolutely need to head to. North of Calistoga, you'll also find the Petrified Forest featuring the fossilized remains of redwoods flattened by a volcano.

In the Sonoma Valley, you'll find the 1,400-acre Jack London State Historic Park. Vintage 1870 located at the town of Yountville in the Wine Country is a  26-acre complex located on Washington Street.
