About Lanai

Welcome to Lanai Island, the "Pineapple" island. It is the sixth largest in the chain of Hawaiian Islands. Lanai Island is a vacationer's deligth - a melange of opulence and natural landscapes ranging from white sandy beaches to mountainous and lava fields to pine-covered hills. A vacation on Lanai Island means spending time at a gorgeous beach, snorkeling, hiking, four-wheeling over the rugged outback, golf in windswept links, along with a host of activities normally enjoyed in an island paradise.

Do not miss Hulopoe Bay Beach Park located on the southern coast. Hulopoe is a crescent shaped hot spot, perfect for  body boarding, surfing, snorkeling, and taking a dip. Visit Sharks Bay. It is a small area cut awya from the Hulopoe Beach by a tongue of land that juts out into the ocean. Shipwreck Beach, on the north shore, gets it's name from the many ships that have run aground on it's reef.
Golfers visiting Lanai Island have three different layouts to choose from. A sight unique to Hawaii is the Garden of the Gods, which is on the northwest of Lanai. This is not your regular garden, it is visual poetry created in boulders of varying size, color, and shape. Legends say that this garden was the workshop of gods where they enjoyed creating boulders.

Luahiwa Petroglyphs offer history buffs a visual history of ancient Lanai Island. Lanai Island is a window to Hawaii that remained hidden from the rest of the world for quite some time. Magnificent mountains, barren fields of lava, plains swept by wind, and white sand beaches come together in Lanai to form a Polynesian paradise beyond compare. If it's tranquility you seek, Lanai Island is the place for you! Or you can try out the other Hawaiian paradises - Big Island, Kauai, Maui, etc.
