About Montana

Montana is situated in northwest United States, bordering Canada with Billings the largest city, and Helena the capital. Montana's biggest attractions are the Rocky Mountains. Yellowstone Country, Beartooth Mountains Area, Lakeside, Madison River Valley, Paradise Valley, and Swan Lake are some of the tourist attraction of this mountain paradise of Montana. A Rocky Mountains resort is Big Sky.

Big Sky is part of the Western Gateway to Yellowstone National Park. Enjoy prime powder skiing and snowmobile trips, miles of Scenic horseback riding and mountain biking trails, as well as whitewater rafting and world-class fly fishing in local waters. Big Sky Resort offers 3,500 acres of downhill skiing, snowboarding and cross country trails. The resort is highly recognized for lack of lift lines, amazing steeps and ideal terrain for families. The wide and open snowfields are great for a day or more of snowmobiling.

Golf, tennis, hiking, fishing, horseback riding, mountain biking, and whitewater rafting can all be enjoyed from your Big Sky Vacation Home. Big Sky also offers plenty of other winter activities like snowmobiling, snowshoeing, sleigh rides, ice skating, and wildlife viewing in Yellowstone Park and the surrounding area. For an exquisite breathtaking view of Lone Mountain, stop by Soldier's Chapel, built in 1955. This small church of native stone and logs was built as a memorial to the fallen soldiers of World War II, and to serve the spiritual needs of the ranchers and families living in the Gallatin Canyon and their many summer visitors.
