Pier fishing is available at various points along the peninsula, while marinas available in Marblehead and Port Clinton can take tourists to the best fishing holes. The Pre-Historic Forest and Mystery Hill at Marblehead will excite kids and all interested in the age of dinosaurs.

Make sure to visit Johnson's Island that served as a Civil War POW prison and cemetery for Confederate Officers. The XD 3D Motion Theater is something you can't miss. The Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge in Oak Harbor is a major feeding, nesting, and resting area for migrating birds. You can observe the nesting areas by trekking through the over 8 miles of nature trails that pass through these nesting areas. The African Safari Wildlife Park at Port Clinton is also a must-see for wildlife enthusiasts.

Speaking of parks, the Cedar Point Amusement Park at Sandusky, further inland at Marblehead, is where you can have some great fun. Cedar Point has 16 roller coasters and over 20 rides for younger children.
