About Vacation Rentals in Wisconsin

Wisconsin is located in north-central United States. Wisconsin is bordered by the western portion of Lake Superior and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan to the north; Lake Michigan to the east; Illinois to the south; and Minnesota and Iowa to the west and southwest, with the upper Mississippi River acting as border between these states and Wisconsin. It offers you a great natural playground, and an experience with the Great Outdoors. Madison is the capital, while Milwaukee is the largest city.

The Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest provides you opportunities for wildflower viewing. Wildflowers in the park include maidenhair fern, nodding trillium, bloodroot, bellwort, and Jack-in-the-pulpit. Exposed sections of bed-rock, up to 50 feet tall, rise from the forest floor. Outdoor lovers also need to check out Black River Falls, Chippewa Falls, and Elkhart Lake in Central Wisconsin.

The Racine Art Museum (RAM) in Racine is surrounded by restaurants, bars, shops, galleries, and an urban beat reminiscent of Soho in New York. The Museum’s collection focuses on ceramics, fibers, glass, metals, and wood from nationally and internationally recognized artists in the craft movement. As far as outdoor activities are concerned, you can enjoy golf, fishing, birding, camping, hiking, trekking, riding ATVs, etc. in Wisconsin.

Visit Apostle Islands National Lakeshore. Here, you can find sea caves that were sculpted from sandstone by centuries of wave action, freezing and thawing. Door County has the longest shoreline for a US county, at 250 miles. You can enjoy many outdoor adventures here. Camping in Southern Wisconsin is also a good idea.
